Who is Pietro Rossi
Meet Pietro, the owner of RedStone Productions, and a multi-talented audio engineer with a diverse professional portfolio. In collaboration with Ablaze Audio, he will give you a crash course teaching you how to record your own vocals. Step 1

In this video, you’ll learn the difference between dynamic and condenser microphones, and why you would choose one over the other based on your vocal style, your budget, your recording environment and the sound you are after. Pietro will also discuss best practices when it comes to mic positioning and using pop-filters.
Step 2
Acoustics
In this video, you’ll learn about the importance of acoustics and the room you are recording in. Pietro will teach you the best way to position your microphone in your room, and how to use a reflection filter and absorption materials to reduce the negative effects of bad acoustics, while taking into account your vocal style.
Step 3
Vocal Tracking
In this video, you’ll learn how to track your vocals using a DAW! Pietro will teach you step by step how you create a setup that will allow you to record yourself at the proper levels, and how to monitor yourself with minimal latency, optionally using the Screamer plugin to make your vocals sound mixed while recording.
